Regulatory and Administrative Law

Financial and commercial activity in Bangladesh is subject to increasingly complex regulatory rules and possible intervention by Government, self-regulatory bodies and others.  We advise clients on such regulatory matters and potential intervention by Government. Relevant regulators include Bangladesh Bank, Securities and Exchange Commission, Board of Investment, National Board of Revenue and the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission and Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission. Partners in Chambers have been involved as members in the Bankruptcy Reform Commission, Company Law Review Commission, National Education Policy Committee, Regulatory Reforms Commission, and regularly review legislation as well as provide drafting support to the Government of Bangladesh.
